About

Becky Cameron is an author and illustrator from sunny Sheffield in the UK.

Becky has illustrated much loved classics such as Enid Blyton stories and Paddington. Her debut author-illustrated picturebook 'Wishing for a Dragon' was published by Hodder Children's in 2018. She has worked on books by Lucy Rowland and Lara Williamson.

When she’s not making books Becky teaches Illustration as an Associate Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University. She enjoys exploring the Peak District with her young family, knitting, sewing and a good cheese board,

She dislikes pigeons, slugs in the kitchen and getting wet socks.

A desk shot from last summer- I was 37 weeks pregnant, It was swelteringly hot, I had to sit on a yoga ball because I had hip pain. I finished the final edits for the book a few days before my baby was born (he arrived a couple of weeks early!) 😅 I
